LSD F

As part of my graphic design course, we had to design our own letterforms, complete from A-Z, all hand rendered. It has to be finished for our December 1st exhibiton held at a BMW dealership (it's gonna be a very classy affair) .
I procrastinated for literally months, deciding what on earth I could design typographically that wouldn't look like it's been done before. I wanted to do something old-worldish, but didn't want to stick to a straight medieval illuminated letterform style. So I decided to mix things up a bit- hence "LSD Scripture" was born!
Ever wonder what a medieval scribe's illumination would have looked like had he been tripping on LSD? WELL WONDER NO MORE.
I am mixing an illuminated letterform style with a psychedelic 60s poster art style. Here is a taste of what I've been working furiously on. Not sure whether this one's finished yet, but it is close enough.
I don't know how to display my letterforms for the exhibition, but it would be really cool to make a hand-bound book and give it an authentic old look...I guess it depends on how much time I have!
