Miss Bohemia by nellmckellar Miss Bohemia by nellmckellar
The third in the series of "Faerie Debutantes."
Meet Miss Bohemia- Less of a faerie society darling than"Miss Cotton Candy" or "Miss Lumiere," though still with an air of mysterious glamour.

Again, I used an old photograph for reference.
Watercolour and gouache.

Less of a society darling in the faerie courts, I should imagine, but I better loved by the common faerie, I should imagine. :giggle:

Well, I've been having her staring at me every day from my Devwatch the past month or so, and what really strikes me is her face. It's a theatrical face, just like the great Edwardian actresses who used to tread the boards and were the superstars of their time. I do so love that about your work, the way you reference so many cool historical things. :) I simply can't fault her sense of style either. For one thing she's purple and I just love purple. And for another there's something rather cheeky and sexy about her that's hidden just beneath the surface. Oh and I love that beauty spot. I bet the faerie guys go crazy for her. :giggle:

Thanks heaps Ludi. :)
I would love to know who this woman actually was, because she does look like a theatrical actress, or one of those melodramatic actress from the silent movie era...well, same thing I guess! ;)
Yeah, and I LOVE purple too!

So did you get the picture of the woman off a postcard or something?
Purple rocks! :boogie:
