Last weekend I went to an antiques fair and I bought some really old postcards of pretty young ladies. Some of them were from the early 1900s. They were all written on, too! Talk about some interesting history. I felt kind of guilty prying into someone's life, even though it was from 100 years ago!

Anyway, I decided to have a muck around and paint one of the ladies- Miss Denise Orme, dated 1933 (even though the letter on the back was dated 1910, go figure). I've turned her into a faerie Debutante- Miss Cotton Candy.

Watercolour and acrylic, 7 x 10 inches.
